The proceeds will be used to fund the assistance of hydrogeology, toxicology and air quality experts retained to review the closure and monitoring plans for the Richmond landfill in Napanee. Their advice insures the work to protect our communities from the dangers of mega-landfilling in this sensitive environment is based on sound science.

The draw was held at the Lonsdale Women’s Institute on May 15, 2013. Canada’s celebrated ceramic artist Harlan House had the honour of drawing the winning tickets.
