The LeakyLand.com web site and related web presence were developed free of charge by Heather Scott for the Concerned Citizens Committee of Tyendinaga and Environs (CCCTE).
Heather is not directly affected by the dump, but says she chose to do the work free of charge “for reasons of social justice.” She also said “I refuse to stand idly by while a huge corporation like Waste Management Canada Corp. makes enormous amounts of money while potentially placing the health of tens of thousands of Canadians, and our environment, in danger. What they are proposing is like accepting money from people to clean their homes, then sweeping the garbage under Greater Napanee’s carpet.”
